Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-07

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Bool (“Bool,” “we,” “us”), an AI-powered platform that lets you describe an app in plain language and have it generated, deployed, and hosted as a live web application (each, a “Bool”). By creating an account, signing in, sending us an SMS, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Bool.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use Bool. If you use Bool on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms, in which case “you” refers to that organization.

2. The Service

Bool is a hosted environment for AI-assisted code generation. You send us prompts (via the web editor, the SMS-to-Bool program, or supported APIs) and we use third-party large language models to generate code, store project files, deploy them to a Bool-hosted subdomain, and let you iterate further. Specific features, model availability, hosting limits, and pricing may change as the product evolves.

3. Accounts & Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at hello@bool.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that show signs of compromise, abuse, or violation of these Terms.

4. Your Prompts & Generated Content

You retain ownership of the prompts you submit to Bool and of the code, files, and other output that the service generates from those prompts (collectively, “Your Content”). You grant Bool a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, transmit, display, and process Your Content solely as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service (including routing requests to upstream model providers and serving your deployed app from our infrastructure).

You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit Your Content and that submitting it does not violate any law or any third party's rights. AI-generated output may resemble or incorporate publicly available patterns; you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on or distributing it.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Bool to generate, host, or distribute content or applications that:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation, including export controls and sanctions;
  • Infringe, misappropriate, or violate any intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or contractual right of any party;
  • Contain malware, exploits, credential-harvesting code, or anything designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to a system or network;
  • Harass, defame, or threaten any person, or target any minor inappropriately;
  • Impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation;
  • Send unsolicited bulk communications (spam) of any kind, including via the SMS program;
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, billing, model-output filtering, or other technical or contractual restrictions; or
  • Generate sexual content involving minors, content that incites violence, or content otherwise prohibited by our upstream model providers' usage policies.

We may, at our discretion and without prior notice, remove content, disable a deployed Bool, or suspend an account that we reasonably believe violates this section.

6. AI Output — No Warranty of Correctness

Bool relies on third-party large language models. Generated code and other AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, insecure, or unfit for a particular purpose, and may produce different results for similar prompts. You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and securing any AI-generated code before using it in production or sharing it with others. Nothing Bool produces is legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.

7. Hosting, Availability, and Data Deletion

Bool will use commercially reasonable efforts to keep the service and your deployed Bools available, but we do not guarantee any particular uptime, latency, throughput, or storage durability. Maintenance, model-provider outages, and other events may cause downtime or transient failures.

If your account is deleted, suspended for cause, or inactive beyond a published retention window, files associated with your Bools may be deleted. Export your projects (via the editor's export feature) before that happens if you need a copy.

8. Plans, Credits, Billing, and Refunds

Bool offers free and paid plans. Paid plans, credit purchases, and subscription renewals are processed by our payment provider (currently Stripe). By purchasing, you authorize us (and Stripe) to charge your selected payment method for the applicable fees, taxes, and recurring charges until you cancel. Credits are consumed by AI-model usage and are non-transferable. Except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise, fees and credits are non-refundable. We may change pricing or plan benefits going forward; changes will not retroactively affect a paid term you already started.

9. Intellectual Property

Bool, including the website, editor, design, logo, branding, and underlying software (other than Your Content and the AI output described in Section 4), is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service in accordance with these Terms. No other rights are granted by implication.

Feedback you choose to share with us is non-confidential, and you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use it without restriction.

10. Third-Party Services

Bool integrates with third-party services we rely on to operate, including upstream AI model providers (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and others), payment processors (Stripe), authentication providers (Google), email providers, hosting infrastructure, and our SMS provider (Twilio). Your use of those integrations is also subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services and do not control their output, availability, or pricing.

11. SMS-to-Bool Program

If you participate in our SMS-to-Bool program, our SMS Terms & Consent page describes how consent is collected, what messages you can expect, costs (msg & data rates may apply), and how to opt out (reply STOP). Those SMS Terms are part of this agreement when you text us.

12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what data Bool collects, how we use and share it, and your data rights. By using Bool you agree to the data practices described there.

13. Termination

You may stop using Bool and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access (in whole or in part) if you violate these Terms, fail to pay fees, create risk or legal exposure for us, or for any other reason permitted by law. On termination, your license to the service ends and we may delete your data; sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 4–6, 9, 14–17 and 19) will survive.

14. Disclaimer

BOOL AND ALL CONTENT, AI OUTPUT, AND HOSTING IT PROVIDES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY ARISING OUT OF COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.

15. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL BOOL OR ITS SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE FEES YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).

16. Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Bool and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any third-party claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to (a) Your Content, (b) your use of the service in violation of these Terms or applicable law, or (c) your violation of any third party's rights.

17. Changes to the Service or These Terms

We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We may also update these Terms; the “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. For material changes we will provide reasonable notice (for example, an in-product banner or email). Continuing to use Bool after the effective date of a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Bool is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute that is not subject to mandatory arbitration or small-claims court, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

19. Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and SMS Terms, are the entire agreement between you and Bool regarding the service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
