Connect a domain from Squarespace Domains

Squarespace Domains aggressively installs default parking / holding records. Those defaults must be deleted before www can route to Bool.

Record to create

Steps

1. Open your Squarespace Domains  account and click the domain you want to connect.
2. Click DNS in the side panel, then DNS Settings.
3. Critical pre-step: In Squarespace Defaults, click the red trash can next to the default records. Confirm with your password or 2FA when prompted, then click Delete. Your domain cannot point at Bool while these defaults remain.
4. Scroll to Custom Records and click Add record.
5. Set Type to CNAME.
6. In Name, enter www.
7. In Data (value), enter cname.vercel-dns.com.
8. Click Save.

Finish in Bool

1. Add www.yourdomain.com in your project’s Domains tab.
2. Click Refresh until status is Active.
3. Visit https://www.yourdomain.com.
